Caden's Faces

Caden is doing great eating baby food so we thought that we would try some finger food. Last week he had a small piece of a saltine that he gagged over. Then we tried a cheerio and he gagged about that too. So this week I bought him some of the Gerber Puffs in the banana flavor. I thought that since he LOVES bananas that maybe he would like these. These are some of the faces we got.

I'm not too sure about this.

Oh my, what a face!

Daddy just gave me another one!
We really think that it is more of a texture issue since he has never had something dry. He is doing progressively better with them. I'm sure he'll get used to them and love them like he does all other food.
On a side note, one more week til we are stateside!

Packin' Up and Movin' Out

Well the time has come to pack up and head back to the States! For me, it is somewhat bittersweet. I am very excited to be coming back to the States, but I have made some friends here that I will definitely miss. For Andy, I think he's 100% ready to be back. This past Friday they came and picked up the bulk of our belongings. Midway through I was sad that I had forgotten to take a picture before they started. After about half our stuff was already packed up. Notice Caden. The movers provided a good bit of entertainment for him.

Bet you can guess what this is? If you said a rocking chair you are most definitely right! This was how they packed and boxed it up to ship it. For things that wouldn't fit in traditional boxes they made a box. I couldn't help myself....I had to have a picture!

Caden and Daddy after the movers left!

Our fairly empty apartment. All that is left in our living area is a few of Caden's toys.

Another view of the emptiness.

My Diaper Baby

Ever since Caden learned to sit up on his own that is all he wants to do. So Thursday evening we spread out his quilt and put a lot of toys on it. Then we sat him on it (with the boppy behind him in case he tumbled over--which rarely happens) and he played for probably an hour. Well he finally played himself out and laid down and went to sleep.

Playing is hard work!

Watch Me Grow 7 Months

It is hard to believe that : 1. Caden is 7 months old today already, 2. Andy and I have been married for 3 years today, and we only have 2 more weeks left in Korea (which will make 2 years that we have lived here). Wow...time flies.

Caden is so much fun! He continues to be such a good baby. He is quite the charmer. We weighed him on our scales the other day and he is approximately 18 lbs.

Look how big I am!

What a cute slobbery smile!

My bear is soooo much fun!

He is offically sitting up on his own (if you sit him up to begin with). Now that he can that is all that he wants to do all day long!

What an onery grin!

Getting excited!

The weather in Korea for the past week has been unbearably hot. Imagine 95 degrees and then tack 100% humidity on top of it. Our solution to the problem was heading to the pool on Saturday. It took us a little while to get there and cost us our car. On our way to the pool the transmission went out of our car:( Why couldn't it have made it 3 more weeks??
This was the first that we were able to swimming since returning to from the states (it has been raining or just ugly weather). Caden definitely enjoyed the break from the heat!
